Experiences

Public Health Office Building, Parking Deck and Associated Infrastructure

McKenney’s and the Beck Group partnered to deliver a campus expansion for a large public health agency in Atlanta. The scope of work in this expansion included a storage building for hazardous materials, a large parking deck structure, a security guard house, and an 8-story office tower building with a basement. Further work consisted of modifying a loading dock, performing demolition of an existing plant, boilers, and pumps, and expanding an existing central utility plant by adding a boiler, a chiller, a 2-cell cooling tower, and three pumps.

McKenney’s performed design/assist services and HVAC and plumbing installations for all sections of the expansion. McKenney’s also provided value engineering and LEED Certification services on this project, enabling it to earn a LEED Gold rating.
