To ensure their customers had the necessary speed, performance, and security, Equinix expanded their data centers, enhancing access to their digital ecosystems. McKenney’s and Clune Construction Company partnered to deliver the buildout of data spaces on both the 3rd and 6th floors for Equinix in the 180 Peachtree Building to support this goal.

The scope of work included the combined buildouts for phases six and seven, which involved constructing data spaces on the 3rd and 6th floors, adding a second chiller house on the roof, and installing the final generator and chiller. McKenny’s manufactured the new chiller plant in-house to support the owner’s budget and get a product in hand more quickly than if it had been purchased. Additionally, the team installed 29 owner-furnished and contractor-installed (OFCI) CRAH units between the 3rd and 6th floors.
